Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to purchase a ticket to buy pumpkins, produce, and bakery items?
Absolutely not! Tickets are only required for activities on the farm (ie. backyard area, corn maze, wagon ride, and Haunted Forest). Our bakery, pumpkin area, and country store are all accessible to guests without a ticket.
  • Who needs a ticket?
Anyone entering the backyard activity area, corn maze, wagon ride or Haunted Forest is required to have a ticket.
  • What is included in the daytime admission price?
We have one price admission for both adults and children and one senior (60+) price. Children 2 and under are free. Admission for both adults and children includes all of our activities in the backyard, our 7-acre corn maze, and a scenic wagon ride around the farm. Activities are open for both children AND adults to participate in and we would encourage everyone to make memories together by playing together at the farm! We hope that you will enjoy the many photo opportunities in both activity areas and around the farm, the corn maze, petting farm, duck races, hula cows, corn hole, jumping pillows, various mazes, and the corn pit! The only activity not available to older youth and adults is the kiddie zipline (due to height and weight requirements). On Friday and Saturdays, when our flashlight maze is open, your admission INCLUDES the flashlight maze for that evening.
  • What do I have to pay extra for?
Anything that goes in your mouth or you take home with you. Additional apple cannon shots can also be purchased on weekends.
  • What types of payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash at the farm. Some registers are card only for safety and efficiency, but cash is accepted at at least one register in each area on the farm. If you want to feed the goats, bring some quarters, as we have quarter feeding dispensers.
  • Are dogs (or other pets) allowed at the farm?
Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs or pets at Schuster’s Farm whether on a leash or in your arms. This is due to insurance and liability reasons. Only registered service dogs (which must be properly identified as such) are allowed. We also want you to know that there is not any shade in our parking lot, so having your pet staying in your vehicle is not a safe idea.
  • If I buy tickets online do I need to print them out?
Tickets that are purchased online do not need to be printed out. You can show them on your mobile device when you get to the farm. As a last resort, just give your name at our ticket booth & we can look up your purchase as well. When you arrive at the farm, look for the online ticket window!
  • What type of bathrooms do you have at the farm?
We have some flush toilets and many portapotties. The flush toilets are closed at night due to issues with destruction.
  • How big is the maze?
The maze itself is 7 acres. It is divided into two halves for ease of navigation for the very directionally challenged! Plus we have a little maze for those who only wish to get lost for 5-10 minutes.
  • What age is Schuster’s Farm appropriate for?
One of the great things about Schuster’s Farm is the fact that it offers something that everyone can enjoy. From babies, all the way up to grandma and grandpa, our goal is to make sure everyone in your group leaves with memories they will cherish!
  • What are your busiest and slowest times to visit?
Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest days of the week. Weekdays are typically less crowded. September weekends and the last weekend in October are typically slower than the rest of October weekends. You may want to plan to come early or later in the season if you are looking for a smaller crowd.
  • How do you make the maze?
It’s taken lots of practice … 26+ years of it to be exact! Our particular process of making the maze is a trade secret, but we can tell you that we plant the whole field in the spring and then cut out the design when the corn plants are still fairly short. The design is created on a computer and then transferred into the cornfield.
  • Will I get lost?
We hope so! It’s designed to be that way. While everyone does get lost to different degrees, we have designed the maze to be an interactive activity that makes a trip inside the maze more than just a walk through some corn. At the beginning of your visit you have the option of selecting a game that will help guide you through the maze.
  • How do you get the group discount rate?
Groups of 20+ are the same as the online price. Tickets can be purchased in one transaction at the farm to receive the online rate and avoid ticketing fees. If purchasing tickets for the Haunted Forest, a reservation is required to reserve the timed tickets. Please complete a contact us form to make your reservation request.
  • Is the farm wheelchair accessible?
The corn maze, and most farm attractions are on unpaved farm ground. Wheelchairs, strollers and wagons can be brought on premises and are able to complete the corn maze, but the ground can be bumpy, and sometimes even muddy, in spots. Please use your own discretion. We do have a large hay wagon with a wheelchair lift, so we do have accessible wagon rides.
  • Do you serve alcohol on the farm?
Yes, Mitchell’s Minibar Truck has a super fun menu of coffee and drinks-from straight up to spiked. The Minibar is only open on Friday evenings and weekends.
  • Can we bring in food?
Our bakery is open anytime the farm is open. Our food trucks are only open on the weekends. Farm guests and field trips may bring their own food during the week. Carry-ins are not allowed on Saturdays and Sundays or Haunted Forest nights unless your group has rented private space..
