Fall Field Trips

Learning time at Schuster’s Farm!

Field Trips Tuesdays-Fridays September 24 thru October 31, 2019
Tour times: 8:30 or 9:00 am,  10:30 am, 12:30 or 1:00 pm
Groups are welcome to bring in a snack to enjoy after the tour or, if staying for lunch an additional 30 minutes is recommended.

All guided Field Trips include the following:

Wagon Ride
A beautiful ride through the farm!

Pumpkin Patch
Each student picks a pumpkin of their own.

Farm Animals
Meet goats, donkeys, llamas and more!

Backyard Playground
Enjoy our farm-themed playground.


Guided Tour: 60 minutes
$7.00 per student

Students enjoy all of the above activities (Wagon Ride, Pumpkin Patch, Farm Animals, and Backyard Playground), plus:
Barn Tour
Our round barn is unique! Enjoy a harvest hunt for shapes and colors of real farm products.

Kindergarten – Second Grade

Guided Tour: 75-90 minutes
$7.00 per student

Students enjoy all of the above activities (Wagon Ride, Pumpkin Patch, Farm Animals, and Backyard Playground), plus:
Learning Shed

Students problem-solve and make decisions as they learn about animals, farm products, bees and the foods we eat.
Corn Maze
Solve the small corn maze with the help of educational clues.

Older Students

Guided Tour Time: Variable
Varies: $4-10 each

Customized tours based on ages and the learning desires of your staff. Possible activities include all of the above, plus:
Corn Maze
Explore our large mazes by phase. Use our games or quiz questions — or create your own to add fun to your current area of study.
Cooperative Learning
Teambuilding activities led by your farm guide. 10-60 minutes.

All of our field trip guides are current or retired professionals from the education field.
Guided Field Trips – 20 or more children ($120.00 minimum). Siblings are welcome at the child rate of $7.00 (includes a free pumpkin).  Staff are FREE. All other adults are $3/each. Babies (1 and under) are free. Adults and babies do not receive a free pumpkin.

Good to know …

  • Severe weather withstanding, our field trips can run rain or shine.
  • Activities may need to be adjusted due to the weather.
  • Picnic tables are available indoors and outdoors.
  • Feel free to bring snacks.
  • If staying for lunch, please indicate on your reservation.

Self-Guide Option for Smaller Groups

Is your group on the small side? Groups (19 or less) are welcome to enjoy the farm any weekday (9/24-10/31) from 9am-3pm without reservation or guide. When you arrive, please have an adult check in at the produce area to purchase your field trip wristbands and pick up our self-guide tour bag designed especially for your group to experience all that the farm has to offer. Price is $7.00/person (1 & under Free) and animal encounters, small corn maze and the backyard playground are all included. In October, hayrides are offered once between 10-11:00 am, and once between 2-3:00 pm. Pumpkins may be purchased for an additional fee.
