The farm continues to be a hive of activity as we get closer to opening day, and we are very excited to share some of the new adventures to be found in the backyard this fall!
Many of you have already experienced our Ball Zone play area, and we are happy to say that we have expanded it with an area designed just for our smaller guests. This should bring more fun for the whole family!
For those of you who wish to demonstrate your Ninja-like reflexes and strength, we are introducing a new obstacle course. It will provide challenges like swaying logs and cables to walk on while skirting around pipes. This is a project we have been working on with our friends from our Maze Company that have farms in Oklahoma and Alabama. They came to help us get the build going, and we are so happy with the progress. Keep your eye out for our new Bee Line as well. It is a 150 foot long zip line that you travel along while sitting on your “bee-hind”! It starts at a height of about 4 feet, so it is very family friendly.
Our Barrel Train ride has undergone a freshening up from its original artist. Lindsey LaPlant designed all of the animals over a decade ago, so it was lovely to have her come back this summer to give them some attention. They are also getting a brand new paved, non-dusty track that runs right past the donkey path.
The rain may have made the farm soggy, but it hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm for all of our new projects! Check back next week for a sneak peek at our expanded offerings of sweets in our redesigned Sweet Shop!
