2020 Farm Fall Changes
The air is getting crisp and the leaves are slowly starting to change color which means it is time for fall in Wisconsin. Time for fun and fright at Schuster’s Farm. While we have had to get even more creative (and downright serious), we have pulled it all together and we are ready for you and yours to come out to the country!
The farm will be operating at 50% capacity.
All weekends in October will require online timed tickets.
During the day, you can choose a two hour window for arrival and can arrive at any point during those two hours. After you arrive at the farm, you can stay at the farm as long as you would like (until closing time of course ;). If you are not able to pay with a credit or debit card online, there is an option at our online ticket app to reserve your time slot and pay at the farm with cash. Please ONLY use this option if you do not have a credit or debit card. We are also trying to reduce the number exchanges that need to occur between our staff and guests.
All nighttime activities will also be sold as online tickets. Haunted Forest tickets are day and time specific. Masks are required for the full Haunted Forest experience. Flashlight corn maze tickets must also be purchased online.
All of your favorite fall treats will still be available at the farm. To eliminate indoor waiting spaces, bakery items will be purchased through windows. In addition for those looking for low/no contact, bakery items will be available for curbside pick up though online ordering. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays curbside produce pick up through online ordering will also be available.
The pumpkin patch is in walkable distance this year and guests will take a short stroll to the patch to pick their perfect pumpkin. The beautiful wagon rides will continue to be offered but will not stop in the pumpkin patch and will instead just be for enjoying the beautiful fall countryside. Our large wagons are perfect for making social distancing easy.
Weekend Wednesday: In response to many schools in the area not having full day classes on Wednesdays, Wednesdays are now part of the Weekend at the farm with weekend farmtractions open in the afternoon.
We also have produced five educational videos about fall farm life for virtual field trips since schools are not able to allow fall field trips. For schools that are meeting in person, Schuster’s will be offering pumpkin delivery to schools in the area. For more information, please contact us.
Added Farm Safety
All farmhands will be wearing masks on the farm, hand washing and sanitizer stations have been added all over the farm and high frequency contact areas will be cleaned even more rigorously.
