Our fall tour is our most popular field trip. Our outside classroom is any teacher’s dream come true as it naturally lends itself to experiential learning. Add to that the teaching we have infused into our structured tours and you have happy, learning kids AND teachers who know the school curriculum needs are being met (and exceeded!) Talk about a GREAT day!
Tours are available Tuesdays-Fridays in September & October, and Monday, October 31, 2016
at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM or 1:00 PM.
Minimum of 20 children required to reserve, but there is a smaller group option (see below).
We have developed our tours to address the varying abilities and learning needs of children at multiple age levels.
Our guided preschool tour is 60-75 minutes and includes an awesome wagon ride, a self-picked pumpkin (children only), animal encounters, and a round barn tour with scavenger hunt. Please allot at least 90 minutes at the farm as every child that comes to the farm loves to play in our ‘playtime’ barnyard!
Our guided early-elementary aged tour, Kindergarten thru second grade, is 75-90 minutes and includes an awesome wagon ride, a self-picked pumpkin (children only), animal encounters, the learning shed (hands-on stations where kids teach themselves about pollination, plants & animals) and the small corn maze. Please allot at least 2 hours at the farm as every child that comes to the farm loves to play in our ‘playtime’ barnyard! Groups are welcome to bring in a snack to enjoy after the tour or, if staying for lunch an additional 30 minutes is recommended.
The tour for students third grade thru college level, is as varied as the number of groups. Through a brief planning session (via email or phone), you and I devise just the tour you desire based on your curriculum and length of visit.
